The MOOG D638 is a direct‑drive analog (or optionally digital/fieldbus) servo valve from the D638/D639 series by Moog, designed for precise control of hydraulic flow and pressure (p/Q control). The valve uses a permanent‑magnet linear force motor to drive the spool directly—eliminating the need for pilot oil—and integrates internal electronics (and optionally a pressure transducer) for flexible control.
